Area RV dealers taking part in the 2019 Jacksonville Fall RV Show, opening Thursday for a four-day run at the Clay County Agricultural Fairgrounds, are happy to see the clouds move on and away from the area.
Can you blame them? They had to deal with back-to-back show cancellations in 2016 and 2017 because of hurricanes.
“We were concerned at first, especially with all the rain earlier in the week, but the forecast improved a lot and the dealers reported that the grass was in great shape when they started moving units into the fairgrounds,” said Ken Loyd, Northeast Region board president for the Florida RV Trade Association, earlier this week. “The weather is always a big factor since these are outdoor events, but it looks like we’re in for a great four-day run.”
The weekend forecast looks quite favorable with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s.
