THE Upper Hunter Shire Council appears to have broken an agreement with Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA), with signs at either end of town representing Murrurundi as an RV-friendly town being contradicted by the no RV parking sign at the Oval.
The signs on either side of town allow free accommodation to RV vehicles for 24 to 48 hours, with close access to the CBD and information centre.
Murrurundi proudly boasts to have one of the best caravan parks in the district as it offers safety from people snooping around.
Emily, a representative from the CMCA said we are completely unaware that these signs were put up.
“Murrurundi is still an RV-friendly town and has been for a long time, these signs on either end of town are meant to be in place to let travellers know,” she said.
