LaVonne F. Orr Meyerott was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Hartington, to George Heinrich Rudolph and Bessie Blanche (Delozier) Habenicht and passed away Oct. 23, 2020, in Lincoln, at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 29 days. LaVonne grew up in Hartington where she attended and graduated from Hartington High School with the Class of 1945.
On Nov. 26, 1946, LaVonne married James G. Orr in Hartington and to this union five children were born. LaVonne was a stay at home mom until the 1960s when she started working at Gateway Mall. She later began working at Goodyear for several years. In 1973, the family moved to Ruby and LaVonne began working in the kitchen at Milford Public Schools.
